How Do You Get Thicker and Faster Growing Hair?

If there's one thing we've learned, it's that our hair is a representation of our inner health. The healthier we are, the healthier our hair is. That's why it's important to have a healthy diet and use good oils to promote thicker, shinier locks. That said, it's also nice to have tools in our toolbox to help speed up the recovery process. Today, we go over a do it yourself (DIY) recipe to help promote healthy hair.

Ingredients for DIY Hair Tonic to Promote Healthier Hair

Here are the ingredients that make up your DIY hair tonic:

  • Lavender essential oil

  • Rosemary essential oil

  • Cedarwood essential oil

  • Peppermint essential oil

  • Alcohol-free witch hazel

  • Hemp seed oil (alternatively you can use carrot seed oil, jojoba oil, or Argan oil)

How to Prepare the DIY Hair Tonic

Step 1: Add 3 tablespoons of alcohol-free witch hazel to a 4-oz spray bottle

Step 2: Add 1 teaspoon of the oil of your choice

Step 3: Fill the rest of the spray bottle with distilled water (or boiled and cooled tap water).

Step 4: Add the following essential oils for hair growth:

  • 10 drops lavender essential oil

  • 10 drops rosemary essential oil

  • 10 drops cedarwood essential oil

  • 10 drops peppermint essential oil

Step 5: Add a label to your spray bottle so you remember what it is!

Hot tip:  Wiping down the bottle with rubbing alcohol will help your label stick better.

How to Use This Hair Growth Tonic

Shake the tonic well before you use it as the contents tend to separate. Apply it to your wet hair and scalp (you can apply it to dry hair, but it doesn't soak in as well). After, massage your scalp and comb through your hair. Using this daily with yield the best results.
